Questions about cloud and DevOps
Which cloud provider should we use?
It depends on your budget, where your users are and any data rules you follow. For Indian customers we usually suggest a provider with data centres in India, and we can also set up on your own hardware.
Can you manage an app another team built?
Yes. We review how it is built and deployed, move it into Docker where that helps, and add backups and monitoring without rewriting the app.
Will moving servers cause downtime?
It depends on the app; many moves need only a short window. We agree the window in advance, rehearse the move first and keep a rollback ready.
How do we know our backups work?
We restore them on a schedule to a separate server and check the data. A backup that has never been restored can’t be trusted yet.
Do you offer ongoing server management?
Yes. We can handle updates, monitoring, alerts and incident response on a monthly basis, or set everything up and hand it to your team with documentation.
How much do cloud and DevOps services cost?
Setup is quoted once we have reviewed your current systems, and ongoing management is quoted separately if you want it. Your cloud bill can stay in your company’s name, paid directly to the provider.
